Leadership Transition at Croquet Australia - Welcome to General Manager Chris Bannerman
Croquet Australia is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Chris Bannerman as our new General Manager, commencing Tuesday, 7 October 2025.
Chris brings a wealth of experience in sport, particularly in Rugby League and through his work as a consultant with Endgame Sport Resourcing. His sport administration knowledge and strategic insight will be invaluable as Croquet Australia continues to grow and evolve.
Chris shared his enthusiasm for the role:
"It's a privilege to be at the helm of a national sporting organisation like Croquet Australia, with the sport steeped in history yet enjoying strong participation in today's crowded sporting landscape. I look forward to working with the board of CA and major stakeholders to see the sport expand its appeal to new participants, and capitalise on its strong participation base to achieve success in the international arena."
We warmly welcome Chris to the Croquet Australia family and look forward to the journey ahead under his leadership.
Farewell to CEO Sue Gliddon
At the same time, we bid a fond farewell to Sue Gliddon, who will conclude her tenure as CEO on Friday, 3 October 2025. Sue has been a dedicated and passionate leader, guiding Croquet Australia through significant milestones and strengthening the organisation’s foundations and governance.
Her commitment to the sport and its community has left CA in a strong position as a CLG and has confirmed out status as a National Sporting Organisation.
On behalf of the Board and the entire croquet community, we extend our sincere thanks to Sue and wish her all the very best on her retirement and in her future adventures.
