Croquet Australia's Pathways: Supporting Athletes, Coaches, and Officials at Every Stage
At Croquet Australia, we’re committed to building a thriving and inclusive croquet community across the country. A key part of that mission is our Pathways Framework; a structured approach that helps players, coaches, and officials grow, develop, and thrive in their croquet journey.
Whether you're stepping onto the lawn for the first time, coaching your local club, or officiating at national events, CA aims to develop a clear, supportive pathway designed just for you.
Athlete Pathway – From Grassroots to Greatness
The Athlete Pathway recognises every player's potential - from social and club players to emerging talent and elite competitors.
Players are encouraged to move at their own pace, supported by coaches and programs that match their level and goals.
Coaching Pathway – Develop the Developers
Coaches play a critical role in nurturing skill, confidence, and enjoyment in our sport.
All levels of each discipline will be supported through the Croquet Australia Academy, offering online and in-person training, professional development opportunities, and accreditation tools.
Officials Pathway – Supporting Fair Play
Whether you're an umpire, referee, or tournament manager, the official’s pathway will aim to ensure you’re equipped to lead and support fair, high-quality competition.
All levels of each discipline will be supported through the Croquet Australia Academy, offering online and in-person training, professional development opportunities, and accreditation tools.
A Continuous Journey
Whichever pathway you are on, Croquet Australia acknowledges that support for each role needs to be:
- Flexible: You can progress at your own pace with a blended education model
- Supported: With access to resources, mentors, and training
- Nationally Recognised: Ensuring consistent standards across Australia
Whether you're picking up a mallet, lesson plan or the Laws, the Pathways Framework is working towards giving CA members the structure to succeed and the tools to keep growing.
Together, we're building stronger skills, greater opportunities, and a sustainable future for croquet in Australia.
