
Follow these steps to becoming a coach!
1. Fill Out the Coach Application Form (Application for coach training NSW, QLD, SA, TAS, VIC, WA)
2. Get your Club to support your application
3. Ensure you have a Working with Children Check or equivilent
4. Complete the Community Coaching Essential Skills online course
Scan and send the form to your State Coaching Coordinator.
Your State Coaching Coordinator will find a Coach Assessor in your region to accredit you with a practical face to face course lasting about 2 hours. You will receive a printed manual for the course.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
If you think you’ve already got pre-existing experience and knowledge to become a coach, you can use the form to apply for a Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
Reaccreditation
Your accreditation lasts 4 years; you will receive a reminder to apply for reaccreditation.
To achieve accreditation after four years you are asked to
· be actively engaged in coaching
· keep a logbook (or record of your coaching)
- accumulate a total of 20 points in coaching activities
- attend at least one update/workshop
- maintain your Working with Children/Working with Vulnerable People check up to date
Accumulating points
Points may be accumulated as follows:
For a minimum of 20 points *(note points can be accumulated across codes and count for each code).
For a minimum of 20 hours of coaching

Develop or conduct a Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, or Level 4 course

Attend a Level 2, Level 3, or Level 4 training course

Develop, conduct or attend a refresher course for any level

|
Assist at a State organised coaching clinic
