Staff Update – Farewell and Thank You

Croquet Australia announces the resignation of National Operations Manager Kellie Thomas, who will conclude her role in December. Kellie has played a significant role in strengthening national operations, event support, and systems development, and we extend our thanks for her contributions and leadership.

We also farewell Michelle Tickner, whose contract as Pathways and Administration Coordinator will conclude in December also. Michelle has provided valuable support to members and committees during her time with us, and we thank her for her commitment and professionalism.

Croquet Australia extends its best wishes to both Kellie and Michelle for their future endeavours.

Mildura Croquet Club
Shout out to Stella Barnes who recently celebrated for 100th birthday with a day on the green.  Many happy returns Stella, who shares her birthday with fellow member John Powell.  In a Birthday challenge, Stella took the win 8/5!
 
 
Moorabinda Croquet Club

Beechworth Croquet Club
Lighting and watering upgrades at Beechworth Croquet Club have been completed thanks to the Bendigo Community Bank’s Beechworth branch and the Indigo Shire Council.

Phillip Island Croquet Club
Recently, the Croquet Club celebrated its 50th birthday from its inception on 21st November 1975.
Current members were joined by Bass Council Mayor Rochelle Halstead to mark the event
 
 
Cooks River Croquet Club
A new shelter was officially opened by the Local Member Jo Haylen recently. This beautiful structure is a valuable addition to the Club. Well done to the maintenance team for all the hard work they put in to complete this massive project.  The members and guests thank you!
 
 
SPORTS FOUNDATION

Croquet Australia has opened a new funding project with the Australian Sports Foundation:

Croquet Academy Learning and Development Project.

The project aims to establish a structured pathway for training and accrediting tournament managers and officials from grassroots to the national stage. This will ensure that croquet competitions are managed efficiently and professionally, leading to improved player experiences and growth of the sport.

WORLD CROQUET FEDERATION

Incorporation Update

WCF Members have voted to approve the incorporation of the WCF as a Company Limited by Guarantee.

The work to finalise the set-up of the company will continue, with both the old WCF and the new company continuing in parallel until such time as bank accounts have been set-up and all assets and contracts ready to transfer. When this is complete, an official transfer date will be agreed, and the new company will be fully in place.
