BEACH CROQUET ON THE LAKE ANYONE?

Sadly the Meningie Croquet Club has had to cancel the June Fun Weekend for 2008 due to no rain and very low lake.  Please pencil us in for 2009 just in case we get some rain for our precious lake, which will continue to drop even more as the months go by if it does not rain.  Our lawns are nearly dead and the bowling greens are also very sick.

I have enclosed some photos taken in front of Rosemary Edkins’s house where we now play beach croquet to keep our eye in, hopefully for next season and next year.  If there’s anyone traveling this way and would like a game of beach croquet, let me know on 0409 300464 and someone will surely accommodate you for a once-in-a lifetime opportunity.

We have found that beach croquet is a lot of fun and we will continue to finish our programmed matches on the beach.  We hope that this is a once in a lifetime occurrence!!
