2008 - ACA CROQUET PHOTO COMPETITION

The rules are simple:

• Each contestant can submit up to five of your favourite photographs
• There are four categories:
  • Humorous
  • Action,
  • Players in attractive club settings, and
  • Croquet History (see additional criteria for this category)
• All photographs should have descriptive captions attached and category stipulated.
• If sent by e-mail, "Croquet Association Photograph Competition" should go in the subject line.
• Deadline for submission of photographs - 15 November, 2008
• All photographs submitted may be used by the ACA on its website
• Photographs preferably will be JPEG format sent by e-mail if digital, or hard copy forwarded to the address below
• First prize $75, second prize $25 in each section
• The judging panel will be President Max Murray, ACA Executive Director Maree Skinner and Editor Carolyn Ribone and their decisions will be final

Note for Croquet History category:  Here, you probably won't have taken the photograph. Instead, search out your club or personal archives for the photograph/s that are from the way distant past, scan them as JPEG and forward them by e-mail (please don't send hard copies in this category, we'd hate to lose something of historical note). Additional criteria - must be able to provide information about the photograph, e.g. names of people, where taken, year if possible, reason why taken. The more relevant history that can be provided to go with the photograph, the better.

There are two categories

1. Submitted by a Club (you could win some cash for your club's coffers),
2. Submitted from personal collections.
